Frantz Olivier

Frantz Olivier is a mathematics educator and researcher working on integer factorization and number theory, with an ongoing research program centered on the Riemann Hypothesis and the Golden Ratio.

Background

Olivier is a graduate of Columbia University and currently teaches mathematics at Florida International University (FIU), having previously taught at Miami Dade College and York College (City University of New York), with a course load centered on Business Calculus and College Algebra.

Research

After roughly eight years of research into integer factorization, Olivier developed what he calls the “Purge Equation” — a method, paired with a custom computer program, for factoring numbers over 2,000 digits long, with an eye toward strengthening the encryption banks use to communicate with customers. He presented the work at the Hawaii International Conference in 2004, in a paper session and workshop attended by roughly twenty mathematicians.

That factorization work opened into a broader research program spanning number theory, angle trisection, and the Riemann Hypothesis. The current thread reframes the Riemann Hypothesis through a geometric “gauge point” transformation of the Golden Ratio, and a “knapsack volume” approach to locating primes — the same formulas this site’s interactive project demo implements.
